The Panther Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support advanced aerospace and defense programs in Grand Prairie, TX. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong experience in Creo design, 3D modeling, and mechanical systems development.

You’ll be part of a collaborative engineering team focused on designing and improving complex mechanical components and systems for high-performance applications.
What You’ll Do
  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using Creo (CAD)
  • Create and maintain detailed 3D models and engineering drawings
  • Support product development and manufacturing processes
  • Perform design analysis considering manufacturability, materials, cost, and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality
  • Prepare and support design reviews and technical presentations
  • Identify and resolve design issues, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Ensure designs meet specifications, standards, and program requirements
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of Creo (CAD) experience
  • 2+ years of Windchill (PLM/PDM) experience
  • Strong experience with:
    • 3D modeling and detailed design
    • Mechanical assemblies and structures
    • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Experience working with complex mechanical or electromechanical systems
  • Active Secret or Interim Secret Clearance required to start.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Model-Based Definition (MBD)
  • Background in aerospace or defense programs
  • Experience supporting design reviews and concept development
Pay $71.92 per hour DOE
