Locations: Southern California officesDuration: PermanentJob DescriptionInsight Global is partnering with a leading engineering and design firm to identify an MEP Engineer - Commercial Construction to support mechanical/plumbing design efforts across Southern California. This opportunity offers hands‑on involvement on complex healthcare, aviation, and large infrastructure facilities.In this role, you will contribute to the full design lifecycle, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail‑oriented, and comfortable communicating design intent through drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign plumbing and mechanical systems for commercial and infrastructure projectsPrepare engineering calculations, reports, and technical specificationsAssist with fire suppression system selection and preliminary system designProduce high‑quality drawings using AutoCAD‑MEP and RevitSupport facility assessments, sustainability initiatives, and feasibility studiesEnsure designs comply with applicable building codes and client standardsEvaluate and select equipment from multiple manufacturersCollaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and external partnersParticipate in client, contractor, and design team meetingsQualifications7+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or Plumbing Design5+ years of experience using RevitPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical EngineeringCertified Plumbing Designer (CPD) certificationActive Professional Engineer (PE) license#J-18808-Ljbffr
