Position Details:
Datrose is seeking an Assembler I for a one-year contract position with a possibility of being temp to hire.
Location: Rochester, NY
Hours: 6am-2:30pm, Mon-Fri (some overtime possible)
Pay: $18-19.00/hr, depending on experience
Duration: One year contract position with an opportunity of being temp to hire.
Who We're Looking For:
Candidates with the ability to build noncomplex optical / electrical / mechanical sub-assemblies within quality requirements. This person should be reliable and detail oriented.
What to Expect as a Mechanical Assembler:
- Follow standard work processes as provided
- Assembles final product and systems per manufacturing drawings and work instructions
- Will help around the manufacturing floor as needed
- Strong Electro - mechanical troubleshooting skills and problem solving
- Tests production product to ensure proper operation per established test criteria
- Assemble pre-fabricated parts / pieces from a stocked work cart
- Accurately record data
- Provide input or feedback during team discussions
- Engage with team members and work effectively with others
- Comply with all company policies & regulations
Qualifications for Success:
- HS Diploma or GED/HSE or 1+ years of Manufacturing/Assembly experience
- Electrical or Mechanical Assembly experience preferred
- Familiarity with small hand tools
- Decision making and problem-solving skills
- Be organized and have excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of safety, lean manufacturing and process improvement is helpful
- Basic computer skills

- Must be able to do repetitive motion and physical requirements.
