The Mechanical Assembly Operator is responsible for supporting Production operations by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Installation of Heli coil, studs, standoffs, terminals, and any other components after machining or outside operations are completed
- Assists in the packaging of parts in the Kanban areas
- Reads and understands blueprints and work instructions
- Performs touch-up and clean-up of components upon return from outside operation
- Cleans and inspects tooling and fixtures prior to returning them to the shelves
- Use of small hand tools and pin press in the completion of parts
- Assist in the daily preventative maintenance of the equipment and department as directed by supervisor
- Coordinates with Lead or Supervisor to ensure tooling and other expendable supplies are in place to meet department needs
- Assists in daily cleaning duties in the department including sweeping, mopping, and chip removal
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- 1-2 years experience preferred
