Plans lays out fabricates assembles installs and repairs sheet metal parts equipment and products. Reads and interprets blueprints sketches or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating assembling and installing sheet metal products. Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts or uses templates. Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as shears brakes presses forming rolls and routers to cut bend block and form or straighten materials. Shapes metal material over anvils blocks or other forms. Inspects assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications.

• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Follow directions and or instructions as directed.
• Familiar with Internal Customer Interfaces as defined by the process assigned.
• Process forms and document work by utilizing their endorsement in accordance with the Quality Management System.
• Notify immediate supervisor of any suspected un-airworthy condition noted while performing their duties.
• Acquire and maintain hand tools if necessary to complete work assigned.
• Clean disassemble and identify components with normal supervision.
• Have a good understanding of blueprints technical manuals and planning documents with normal supervision.
• Apply different types conversion coatings and sealants using different types of tools and methods with normal supervision.
• Work in conjunction with higher grade Mechanics to further their job knowledge base through OJT with normal supervision.
• Cleans work area when required with minimal supervision.
• Read and understand blueprints and technical manuals.
• Accomplish basic repairs with normal supervision.
• Have a basic understanding of computer processes involved in daily operations.
• Other various duties as assigned.
