Herc Rentals seeks talented people for a Mechanic Intern position. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated college and technical students who want to gain valuable industry insight that could lead to possible full-time position upon graduation and completion of the intern program with a company whose reputation speaks for itself.
What you will do:
• Learn Basic Understanding of the following: • Construction and Industrial Fleet • Mechanical knowledge • Fuel Systems • Electrical Systems • Hydraulic Systems
• Help to load and unload internal truck drivers outside haulers and customers • Verify delivery tickets and returns for accuracy • Clean maintain and organize heavy equipment construction equipment and various pieces of machinery • Review orders and stage equipment for drivers • Perform routine checks on rental equipment to ensure it is safe and in good working order • Maintain and clean and organized yard and work area • Answer and resolve customer questions • Provide customers with expert advice on the selection operation and maintenance of all the various types of equipment • Support all team members
Requirements
Currently enrolled in college or technical program nearing completion
The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid drivers license with a good driving record
All employment is contingent on successful completion of drug and background screening
