We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join a Municipal Equipment Supplier in Mooresville, NC who specialize in Street Sweepers and Sewer Cleaning equipment.
Location: Mooresville, NC 28115
Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM ??? 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $19-$21/hour
We are looking for individuals with experience in the assembly and modification of medium-duty truck chassis. Assembly team members are responsible for mounting stainless-steel sweeper bodies to truck chassis, including all electrical wiring, frame cutting, fabricating, mounting, and testing to ensure a proper build.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare chassis frame for mounting and attaching sweeper body.
Run, connect, and test all fluid and hydraulic lines.
Build and install electrical lumens, harnesses, and lighting.
Install couplings, fittings, and brackets to marry sweeper body and chassis.
Test sweeper to ensure the finished product meets Bucher specifications.
Maintain a shop floor, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
Fabricate parts to meet custom builds.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge of electrical wiring and troubleshooting.
Experience in truck chassis modification and assembly.
Ability to work independently and take direction.
Ability to meet deadlines and think creatively to achieve goals.
Software design knowledge is advantageous.
Proficiency with shop tools.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in welding and fabrication.
Ability to obtain a passport.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
