We have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Welder position in Goose Creek, SC with one of our Clients in the Ship Building Industry.

Qualifications

3-5 years of Structural Welding experience
Shipyard welding experience
Must be able to pass Pulse Mig (GMAW-P) in 2G, 3G, 4G positions 1” thickness with a backgouge
Spray in 2G positions ¾” thickness 2G plate test
Flux cored (FCAW) in 2G, 3G, 4G plate test 3/4” thickness with backing
Must be able to weld in all 3 positions (horizontal, overhead, and vertical)
Performs welding on steel parts and assemblies to required tolerance using welding metals and metal alloys.
Determine layouts and weld parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications
Heating-Oxygen/propane heating torch
Air Carbon Arc Gouging
Multi pass butt welds
Can work in confined spaces and heights
Hight School diploma or equivalent and 5 years additional education and /or related experience; Apprentice graduate/associate’s degree in relevant discipline and 3 years of related experience
Familiar with OSHA regulations
Must be able to pass hair follicle drug test
