** THIS POSITION WILL BE ONSITE AT SAMTEC NEW ALBANY ** 
Summary/Objective:  The Measurement Systems Engineer will provide support on all processes related with measurement equipment, design and perform tests to verify the good functionality of the instruments/ equipment, as well as ensure the calibration and preventive maintenance routines comply with the technical specifications indicated by the manufacturer.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities: 
  1. Analyze technical specifications and datasheets for measurement instruments / equipment.
  2. Design statistical tests (MSA: R&R, Bias, Stability, linearity, etc.) that help to ensure the good functionality of the measurement equipment.
  3. Review technical manuals of the measurement equipment utilized in the company in order to verify the WI for calibration/verification meet the manufacture specifications.
  4. Maintain control of the usage of the equipment and the stock of consumables, spare parts, etc. in coordination with TPG and the Calibration Laboratory.
  5. Design and program preventive maintenance routines, in case they are needed.
  6. Investigate and determine the equipment’s characteristics needed, whenever new equipment is going to be purchased in coordination with TPG.
  7. Train the operators or OJT’s about how to perform measurements using the Automatic visual inspection instruments (Sol and VERTEX) and their programs.
  8. Provide support to manufacturing on all related with the usage of automatic visual inspection instruments (Sol and VERTEX).

Required Experience: 
  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in similar positions.
  2. Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
  3. Excellent Computer Skills (databases, MS office, etc…)
Education:  
  1. Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Physics, Electrical etc.) related field or equivalent work. experience is required.
  2. .Experience directly in Measurement Systems or Metrology can be substituted for educational requirements.
