WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO:
As the MDS coordinator you will assist in implementing the RAI/MDS process with federal regulations. You will participate in care planning and work closely with the nursing department for quality care. You will oversee the coordination and participate in the completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument (MDS, CAA's and Care Plan) in accordance with current Federal and State Regulations.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of assessments (OBRA, PPS, Managed Care)
  • Coordinate with nursing, therapy, and billing teams to support resident care and reimbursement accuracy
  • Participate in the utilization review, case mix management, and Triple Check processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including MDS submission requirements
  • Develop and oversee individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Support audits, surveys, and Medicare/insurance reviews
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the MDS team and nursing staff
 
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
  • Licensed by the Kentucky Board of Nursing
  • Current CPR certification
  • One year minimum of experience as a charge nurse in a Long-Term Care setting, preferred

MDS in long term care setting: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
LPN
