PROGRAM AND LOCATION: VOA-NCNN, a Certified Great Place to Work, is recruiting for a full-time Program Supervisor for the Singles Program at our Mather Community Campus Programs which includes the Laverne Adolfo Transitional Housing Program for Youth (THP-Plus), Mather Transitional Housing Program for Families, DHS/OTL Family Program, Mather Emergency Shelter for Single Adults, and the Sacramento County Employment Program. Full-time employees (working 30 or more hours a week) are eligible for a benefits package that includes paid holidays, vacation, sick pay, health, dental, vision, life, and short-term disability insurance coverage.
Responsibilities:
OBJECTIVES/ACTIVITIES:
A. Responsible for performing daily work requirements to achieve established objectives of the department.
1. Assist in the collection of program fees.
2. Schedule shift hours for all Support Staff and perform bi-weekly payroll duties.
3. Help ensure that resident apartments are safe and in good order by performing weekly housing inspections for health and safety.
4. Consistently update Policies and Procedures Manual and schedule all safety inspections.
5. Order and track all bus passes provided to residents.
6. Make weekly food donation collection and distribution to residents while maintaining accurate weekly and monthly food donation logs and reports.
7. Ensure effective communication among staff through completion of resident and staff logs, fliers and incident reports as well as through professional, respectful and team building written and verbal communication.
8. Provide emergency assistance to residents, such as AOD intervention, and staff as necessary.
9. Respond to all client questions and concerns.
10. Identify and delegate chores to clients for Community Service hours.
11. Other duties as assigned by Program Manager or Director.
B. Responsible for assistance with client development.
1. Provide resident support and encouragement to the Case Managers including, but not limited to: coaching, mentoring and direct, compassionate communication.
2. Provide assistance with resident development including assessing any social issues that present barriers to a resident’s success in cooperative living and successful achievement of self-sufficiency.
C. Responsible for all areas of daily program maintenance in compliance.
1. Document and report all resident concerns and/or infractions that can impact the program security.
2. Maintain and complete all shift logs, observation logs, and incident reports.
3. Monitor inventory of program equipment and supplies and take appropriate action to replace or restock as needed.
4. Secure Program Manager approval for exceptions to standard policy for residents or self.
5. Notify management of potential workflow problems and resource needs necessary to attain performance standards.
6. Adhere to staffing schedules in order to provide adequate/safe staffing coverage and to accomplish program objectives.
7. Communicate with service providers and external county/state/city program representatives as required.
8. Direct available resources as required.
D. Responsible for training and development of new staff.
1. Assist in department orientation and training for new employees as requested to assure quality work outcomes.
2. Serve as part of the development team by providing information and support for the development of quality operations.
3. Maintain an above average working knowledge of fire, safety, and health standards to assure safe work environment for clients and all personnel.
E. Responsible for self-development.
1. Continually learn and enhance technical and interpersonal skills.
2. Attend staff meetings/assigned training seminars and complete required certifications, i.e. CPR, First Aid, etc.
Qualifications:
EQUIVALENT EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A bachelor’s degree in social work, or a relevant field is preferred. This position requires demonstrated ability to communicate, comprehend, and follow through on oral and written instructions and to provide services to residents without ethnic or social prejudices. It requires general knowledge of issues and challenges unique to homelessness, substance abuse, young adults, and minorities. Specific knowledge with Twelve Step philosophy, addiction and recovery, and dysfunctional family dynamics is preferred. Must have the flexibility to work irregular hours and have the willingness to function as a team member. Intermediate computer skills required, including Outlook and all Microsoft Suite programs. Valid California driver's license and ability to meet the organization’s insurance carrier guidelines are required. Must pass all required background clearances in accordance with agency, County, State, and federal standards. CPR/First Aid certification is required within 90 days of employment. Completion and maintenance of all required training and health clearances.

Pay Range: USD $75,000.00 - USD $83,200.00 /Yr.
