    Qualifications: Massachusetts Department of Education Teacher Licensure: 5-8 Mathematics, required; Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement, required; Expertise with the Massachusetts Mathematics Frameworks, required; Expertise working with students with disabilities, English learners (ELs), and students with limited and/or interrupted formal education (SLIFE); Bilingual, preferably Spanish and/or Portuguese, preferred.

    Responsibilities: Provide an engaging, rigorous curriculum embedded with real-world connections and opportunities for higher order critical thinking, including implementing Illustrative Mathematics, financial literacy, and/or project-based learning May teach a trimester mathematics class, which is in addition to a student's core mathematics class, focused on financial literacy and project-based learning to address student misconceptions, gaps in learning, and student acceleration May teach year-long mathematics class(es) using Illustrative Mathematics as the high-quality instructional material Communicate and collaborate with a team of educators focusing on student growth and development of grade-level standards mastery Develop, implement, and monitor goals and objectives for students in accordance with the Mathematics and English Language Learner frameworks Use data to inform instruction on a daily basis; i.e., formative, summative, benchmarks, and project based-learning Meet the needs, interests, and readiness of all students Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and support Perform standard duties as required by administration
