Job Details: Job Title: Materials Specialist Location: San Carlos, CA & Foster City, CA Duration: 6+ Months Pay Range: $40.00 to $42.35/hour on W2 Shift Days/Hours: Monday to Friday from 8am-5pm Job Description: Manage, process, and perform all material movement transactions in a electronic component production environment, specifically performing physical and transactional duties to receive incoming purchase orders, kit material to production line, perform cycle counting duties, and ship orders. This role will help to Manage and control all materials in Warehouse and Production locations. It will support and work with quality teams on failed material inventory movement, as well as help to perform inventory analysis such as cycle counting and inventory discrepancy resolution. Additionally, the role will support and assist with material operation projects and special assignments. Daily duties include performing Warehouse and Fulfillment functions — Receiving, Incoming Inspection, Inventory Management, PO Returns, Kitting, Cycle counts, and Order Processing. Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to): • Receive incoming material. Perform Incoming receiving inspection -- physical and visual • inspection & document verification • Handle the internal product transfers shipments • Pick Work Orders and deliver parts to production line • Ship and Receive material • Perform Inventory cycle counts and discrepancy investigations • Triage incoming material parts for rework or scrap • Perform MRP transactions – create work orders, transfer inventory, ship/receive orders • Communicate with production and engineering teams on any receiving issues and/or discrepancies • Consolidate pending parts for repair charges and assist with material production planning • Follow up on pending material orders for completion, prioritize the tasks based on its urgency • Organize and maintain cleanliness of stock inventory locations, receiving dock and warehouse • Ensure Quality documentation provided with shipments is correct • Troubleshoot Material Movements, or roadblocks to processing • Report on inventory qty, units processed and overall material status Qualifications: • Bachelor's with 6-8 years of warehouse/inventory experience preferred • MRP system experience & knowledge required (SAP, Oracle, Etc) • Excellent interpersonal communications and organization skills, ability to multi-task while • making effective decisions • RMA, procurement or Return to Vendor experience a plus • Attention to details and strong organizational skill • Independent person and have ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision • Team Player, Problem solver • Comfortable working in a start up environment • Proficient with MS office is required Physical Requirements: • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: o Standing, walking, sitting, talking/listening, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms o Lift, carry, push and pull in excess of 25 pounds o Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb and balance
