Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for stamping, assembly, and service operations.
  • Convert customer demand and forecasts into executable production plans.
  • Coordinate production priorities to meet on-time delivery and service-level targets.
  • Adjust schedules based on capacity constraints, material availability, and changing customer requirements.
  • Monitor customer demand, forecasts, and firm orders to ensure accurate production planning.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
  • Track work-in-process (WIP), finished goods, and raw material inventory.
  • Identify potential shortages or overages and proactively implement corrective actions.
  • Plan material movement between warehouses, supermarkets, staging areas, and production locations.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials at point-of-use for stamping, assembly, and service operations.
  • Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and material handling teams to support smooth material flow.
  • Support lean manufacturing principles, including FIFO, kanban, and pull systems where applicable.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, quality, and customer service teams to align production plans.
  • Communicate schedule changes, priorities, and risks clearly to all stakeholders.
  • Participate in production meetings and capacity planning discussions.
  • Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems related to demand, inventory, and production schedules.
  • Analyze production performance, inventory trends, and service metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve schedule adherence, inventory turns, and material flow efficiency.

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience planning multi-process operations (stamping, assembly, or similar manufacturing environments).
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and material flow.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in automotive, metal stamping, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience working with service or aftermarket requirements.
