Materials Manager - Youngstown, Ohio - Job 25-01362Salary: $60K - $75K
Permanent Position with BenefitsYoungstown, Ohio manufacturer is seeking to hire an experienced Materials Manager to work with supply chain and manufacturing to support lean inventory and procurement strategies for purchased material.
REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor's degree in business, or a related field (equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree)
- 5+ years' experience in Materials Management
- Plan and verify all purchased materials, goods, and services are on time to meet production schedule
- Oversee Inventory Management, Material Handling, Shipping, and Receiving
- Make recommendations to improve the operations of the materials department
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact will all departments and vendors
- Examine root cause for problem solving to drive process improvement
- Oversee cycle counting, physical inventory, profit planning & lead times of the ordering process
- Hire, train, develop and evaluate staff
