The Materials Manager will be responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels are maintained at all times across multiple locations to support branch operations. Leading a team of buyer/planners, analyzing demand across a diverse range of customers, safeguarding a smooth and efficient supply chain.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead and develop the materials group across the region, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages continuous improvement.  
  • Manage the materials teams to ensure the appropriate resource and experience is dedicated to each account.  
  • Ensure DRP forecasts and/or customer schedules are analyzed and actioned in a timely manner.  
  • Ensure planning team continue to maintain data integrity within the ERP system.  
  • Maintaining inventory levels in line with annual plan/monthly forecasts and highlighting variances as appropriate.  
  • Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize supply chain efficiency  
  • Support OTD reporting, analysis and corrective action for major contract customers.  
  • Analyze monthly inventory reports and work with sales dept to identify excess and End of Life product.  
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas of improvements.  
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.  
  • Participate in contract and cost negotiations as required.  
  • Maintain a cost base in line with Operational margin objectives.  

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Business or Supply Chain or equivalent experience is required
  • Experience in material planning, procurement, or demand planning is required
  • Previous ERP experience is desired
