Title: Materials Handler II - 2nd Shift
Location: Menlo Park, CA
Shift: 5 Pm to 1.30 Am
Description:The Materials Handler is responsible for supporting production by managing material flow, kitting, inventory control, and SAP transactions in a manufacturing environment.
Candidates should have 3+ years of experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs while working independently.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Materials Handler supports production operations by ensuring accurate, timely flow of materials according to the build schedule. Responsibilities include:
Kitting materials to production work orders based on the build schedule.
Issuing production materials to kanban locations.
Managing and maintaining assigned materials.
Participating in and completing monthly cycle counts.
Performing SAP transactions to accurately reflect material status.
Lifting and handling packages up to 50 lbs.
Participating in training new team members.
Applying judgment, initiative, and creativity to troubleshoot material related issues.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
Prioritizing daily tasks to meet material and kanban demands.
Solving a wide range of complex problems with minimal guidance.
Accurately counting and reconciling quantities.
Understanding organizational structure and key contacts within the facility.
Required Experience
Minimum Years of Experience: 3+ years in materials handling within a manufacturing environment.
Key Skills
Strong planning and organizational skills
Problem solving and decision making ability
Accuracy in counting and reconciling materials
Ability to perform SAP transactions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
