Adler Pelzer Group - a growing Tier One supplier of Acoustic and Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking a high-energy, experienced, and adaptable Materials Coordinator for the manufacturing operations in Sterling Heights, MI.

Objectives of the Materials Coordinator:

  • Maintain systems data integrity (i.e. SAP).
  • Ensure weekly Supplier Schedules support Customer EDI and supports internal attainment objectives.
  • Effectively communicate with Suppliers to ensure On Time In Full (OTIF) deliveries.
  • Communicates to management any changes that may affect production and plans to take alternative methods to meet demands.
  • Track all non-standard costs (i.e. customs, container, freight, etc).
  • Measure and improve supplier delivery performance.
  • Ensure the material release plan is in line with the defined Inventory Plan.
  • Gather the required inventory, freight cost, and supplier delivery performance data to fulfill the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) requirements.
  • Work with the suppliers and internal customer(s) to execute an optimal logistics plan.
  • Work with manager on scheduling, performing, and finalizing and physical inventories.
  • Ensure best cost solution is considered at all times whilst meeting the expected result.
  • Participate in stock take activities (i.e. cycle counting, API, etc).

Requirements for the Materials Coordinator:

  • Attention to detail.
  • 3+ years of experience in material planning/knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • ERP/SAP intermediate + experience.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Internet Explorer.
  • Possess numerical and analytical skills.
