Parkway Surgery Center is seeking a full time Materials Coordinator to join the team!

 

Parkway Surgery Center is a fast-paced, multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.  

 

What You Will Do  (Job Summary):

Assists with the ordering of supplies for all clinical areas within the facility.  Processes all invoices for approvals.  Delivers supplies and equipment received to stock and patient care areas and assists with maintenance of established par-levels.

 

Key Job Duties Include:

1.     Communicates by phone or in person with business office staff, patient care staff, OR staff and physicians accessing any changes or additional need for supplies

2.     Orders stock and non-stock supplies. Maintains adequate stock levels in assigned areas. Deliver and stock items daily

3.     Daily data entry of requisitions and purchase orders

4.     Follow up of backorders, to include release dates, substitutions, and discontinued products.

5.     Receives, inspects, verifies supplies and equipment purchased

6.     Accurately processes all purchase orders, picking slips, and invoices with correct pricing

 

 

Monday-Friday work schedule

NO call required

NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours

Required Skills

 

·        High school Diploma or GED 

·        2+ years experience in shipping/receiving, materials management, supply chain in a health care environment 

·        Strong Customer Service Background

·        Strong math and counting skills required

·        Computer experience required (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel .   Experience with ENVI system is a plus. 

·        Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted

·        Ability to stand, bend, twist, squat and lift heavy items above your head and shoulders

·        Experience working in a clean and sterile environment
