Keep Production Moving at Rockwell Automation

When the shop floor comes alive each morning in Twinsburg, OH, you’re already orchestrating what happens next—sequencing orders, confirming parts availability, and aligning capacity to keep lines humming and orders on time. As a Production Planner within our PCA team, you’ll be the connective tissue between scheduling, materials, and engineering to prevent stoppages, tame variability, and deliver for our customers.

You will report to the PCA Team Lead and will be on-site at our facility in Twinsburg, OH.

A Day in This Role

  • Set the pace: Release and sequence manufacturing orders for specific product lines or projects based on real-time material and capacity availability.
  • Guardrail for materials: Monitor SAP exceptions and actual component usage; follow up with suppliers to close gaps and keep operations supplied.
  • Balance inventory: Own inventory performance for your products; partner with Central Material Analysts and Master Schedulers to correct MIN / MAX variances with smart countermeasures.
  • Plan what matters: Tune planning parameters with Central Material Analysts to uphold customer-focused safety stock and reorder points per our materials planning playbook.
  • Shape capacity: Work with Master Schedulers and Manufacturing Engineers to understand short- and long-term capacity, minimizing past due orders through proactive adjustments.
  • Launch the new, sunset the old: Create, modify, and maintain material, manufacturing, and procurement strategies that support NPM (new product manufacturing) and product phase-outs.
  • Stabilize availability: Collaborate with the Master Scheduler on monthly safety stock builds and targeted finished goods inventory plans.
