Position Description
This is a full time direct hire union position located in Whippany, New Jersey, with standard company hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The MRB and Records Clerk manages the end-to-end Material Review Board process, including the receipt, organization, and documentation of discrepant materials. This role performs mechanical inspections to verify parts against drawing requirements and maintains precise filing systems for inspection reports. Key responsibilities include managing the disposal of non-conforming parts, generating monthly scrap reports, and tracking internal corrective actions and vendor deviations to support the quality engineering team.
The starting pay for this position is $26.04 per hour.
* Prior experience working in a highly regulated industry such as aerospace, defense, or medical device manufacturing.
* Demonstrated experience in a Quality or Inspection department with a strong understanding of Material Review Board (MRB) procedures.
* Technical ability to perform mechanical inspections and verify physical parts against complex engineering drawings.
* Proficiency in maintaining detailed logs and records, including the generation of formal scrap and corrective action reports.
