MATERIAL HANDLER | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

• Location: Sumter, SC – 100% on-site
• Payrate: $18/hr
• Required Availability: Full-Time | F-shift (3-2-2-3), 7:50pm-8am (nights)

MATERIAL HANDLER | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Material Handler will be responsible for maintaining high documentation standards (GDP) and ensuring a safe, organized warehouse environment while meeting production metrics on a rotating night shift. This role focuses on the accurate picking, packing, and palletizing of customer orders using RF technology and motorized material handling equipment.

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance

MATERIAL HANDLER | RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Order Picking & Packing: Process customer orders by scanning barcodes, picking items, and labeling boxes using RF technology and voice scanners.
• Pallet Building: Retrieve and place completed orders on pallets, re-palletize products for shipment, and operate shrink-wrappers as needed.
• Documentation: Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and ensure high levels of accuracy for all shipments and inventory.
• Equipment Operation: Transport pallets using Material Handling Equipment (MHE), such as a Walkie Ryder.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with SOPs and safety regulations.

MATERIAL HANDLER | REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• 1 year of relevant warehouse experience.
• Ability to operate RF scanners and learn MHE equipment required.
• Experience with a Walkie Ryder (motorized pallet jack) is preferred.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a metrics-driven, fast-paced environment.
• Basic analytical and organizational skills.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout a 12-hour shift.
