Join to apply for the Material Handler role at WM .Job SummaryMaterial Handlers move recyclable material through the facility, conduct material grading, and evaluate for sale destination.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMove material through the facility using equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, handcarts, hoists, cranes.Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.Use PC tablets to dispense and receive information such as part numbers, quantities, locations, comments, etc.Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated area.Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.Properly document work performed.Conduct material audits.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNone required.QualificationsEducation/Experience: None required.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements: None required.Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required: None required.Work EnvironmentRequires motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity.Requires exerting physical effort in handling objects more than 50 pounds frequently.Requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and lifting up to 50 lbs.Normal setting includes outdoors and/or driving a video/GPS monitored vehicle.Exposed to physical environment involving dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday.Level of physical effort may vary from site to site.CompensationThe expected base pay for this on-site position is $19.65 per hour.
