Location: Sedalia, MO (Gardner Denver - 305 North State Fair Blvd., Sedalia, MO 65301)

Shift: 1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay Range: $19.00-$21.50 per hour

Job Summary

The Material Handler works under limited supervision to support efficient material flow, accurate inventory control, and high-quality production output. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and tracking materials while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work from dispatch lists, schedules, and inventory control systems to ensure continuous material flow
  • Receive incoming materials, verify part numbers and quantities, and process receipts in SAP or applicable systems
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform inventory control transactions
  • Move, stage, and supply skids and materials to designated work areas
  • Remove scrap, empty containers, and maintain clean and organized storage and production areas
  • Re-skid materials as needed and correct shortages or discrepancies
  • Pull and deliver materials for production, aftermarket sales, or special requests
  • Assist with material positioning to support efficient workflow
  • Support general housekeeping in all assigned and unstaffed areas
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures at all times
  • Maintain clear written and verbal communication with team members and supervisors

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in warehouse, production, receiving, or distribution environment
  • Experience with inventory management and receiving processes
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, skids preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and use required safety equipment
