DESCRIPTION
A Day in the Life:
Fill customer orders by obtaining material from designated picking bays and fill out proper paperwork by indicating quantities being picked
Move orders to staging area and consolidate for ease of repacking and stretch wrapping
Prepare merchandise for shipment by verifying goods by quantity, catalog number, and size against Pick List
Consolidate goods and restack on proper skids when required per customer instructions
Sort and apply computerized shipping labels and stretch wrap for shipment when required
Complete necessary paperwork including Packing List and Bill of Lading
Stage orders on floor or load directly on spotted trailers
Use material handling equipment as required to pick product, including hand truck and motorized pallet truck
Perform all required warehouse transactions in the SAP operating system on PC
Operate the Clippership, UPS, Federal Express manifesting systems and mail equipment as required
Complete Cycle Count Sheets when inventory discrepancies are found
Comply with all warehouse safety procedures
Perform general housekeeping duties
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School Diploma OR GED required
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of work experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related field required
Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers/forklifts) preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Must be certified and licensed to walkie/rider and electric pallet truck
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $14.41–$21.61.
