Job Description:
Work Location: 7600 South Santa Fe, Building C, Houston, TX, US
1st shift (5am-3:330pm)
supplies all required PPE: hard hat, safety glasses, earplugs, gloves, uniform, and safety shoes
Physicals are required including a mobile equipment evaluation. If the supplier can not complete we can arrange it if we are allowed to. Note: See attached Mobile Equipment Evaluation form attached.

Interview and/or site tour required Yes, in person interview is required. We do not hold tours of the plant for applicants but we can show them what they shop looks like from the side line.

Role and Responsibilities:
Pulls material for customer orders
Fills out all paperwork required to complete orders
Loads customer trucks and processes customer orders
Offloads material from vendor trucks then receives and verifies vendor supplied material and processes paperwork. Affixes tags supplied by administrator-sales.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Operate forklifts and side loaders on a daily basis.
Be able to work flexible hours for critical or end of month shipments.
Manage inventory of crates, pallets, or other shipping materials.
Ensures all incoming and outgoing materials are traceable, damage free and are handled in a safe manner to preserve the quality of the product.
Contributes to customer satisfaction by ensuring that finished material is shipped in a timely manner, free of damage, in accordance with (customer) release requirements.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining documented work instructions for safe and proper handling of incoming materials.
Responsible for verification of all incoming supply shipments to ensure correct delivery.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining documented work instructions for proper loading of trucks in accordance with State and Federal regulations.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
A minimum of 3 years of material handling experience
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
Preferred Qualifications:
Must be able to obtain an in-house mobile equipment certification, including use of forklift and boom lift
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blueprints.
Experience using a computer to enter and track data.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include holidays, weekends, and overtime.
Physical Demands: This is primarily an warehouse environment position. Sitting, Standing and possibly heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs) may be required. Temperature conditions will vary with the outside environment.
Ability to communicate effectively; both written and orally.
Strong PC skills; MS Office, Excel
Experience with SAP
Must be able to obtain an in-house mobile equipment certification, including use of forklift and boom lift
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
