Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two to five years of warehouse experience
- At least one year of leadership or lead experience preferred
- Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse operations
- Forklift certification or ability to become certified
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot, cold, or refrigerated environments when applicable
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or 5S principles preferred
- Knowledge of inventory-management systems preferred
- Experience with KPI tracking, productivity reporting, and labor planning preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus
Job Duties
- Lead and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse associates
- Assign work based on staffing levels and operational priorities
- Monitor warehouse productivity, quality, and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and safety procedures
- Train and mentor new employees on warehouse processes, equipment, and safety expectations
- Conduct daily shift huddles
- Communicate production goals and operational updates
- Assist with receiving, shipping, picking, packing, replenishment, and inventory control
- Perform routine inventory and cycle counts
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and operational issues
- Address employee concerns and communicate them to management when appropriate
- Ensure shipments, receipts, and inventory transactions are documented accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse using 5S practices
- Collaborate with supervisors and management to improve warehouse processes
- Help the team meet customer-service expectations
- Assist with employee coaching, attendance tracking, and performance feedback
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other material-handling equipment as required
