    Job Description Summary

    Our Fort Wayne Manufacturing Facility is seeking a meticulous Material Handler to manage the efficient flow of materials within our facility, ensuring production needs are met and inventory is accurately maintained.

    Job Description:

    • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and packing slips.
    • Accurately store materials in designated locations using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklifts)
    • Pick and stage materials for production orders, ensuring timely delivery to manufacturing lines.
    • Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies, maintaining accurate inventory records.
    • Package and prepare finished goods for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
    • Operate and maintain material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
    • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
    • Communicate effectively with production, shipping, and quality control teams regarding material status.
    • All other duties as assigned

    Required Skills and Education

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 1-2 years of experience in a material handling role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
    • Proficiency in operating forklifts
    • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly and stand for extended periods.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and record-keeping.
    • Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
