    Position: Material Handler
    Location:Elk Grove Village
    Shift: Day Shift | 5:45 AM – 6:15 PM | 12-hour rotating schedule (must be willing to work overtime and weekends)
    Department: Warehouse
    Pay Rate: $21.74/hour

    Retention Bonus:
    To reward long-term commitment, this position offers a $2,000 retention bonus, paid as follows:

    • $1,000 after successfully completing 90 days of employment
    • $1,000 after successfully completing 180 days of employment

    Please note: This is a retention bonus and is not paid at the time of hire.

    Summary Description

    The Material Handler supports plant operations by safely moving raw materials, finished goods, samples, and warehouse inventory throughout the facility while maintaining production flow, inventory accuracy, and safety compliance.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Process sample requests for CSR, R&D, Lab, and other departments as needed

    • Cut samples and reprint labels for raw material, master rolls, and finished goods for lab use

    • Scrap and bale recyclable materials

    • Deliver mail, UPS, and FedEx throughout the plant

    • Move materials throughout the plant following routing delivery tickets or orders

    • Fill orders from storage and warehouse stock and deliver materials to designated departments and machines

    • Operate power lift trucks to move materials and stack pallets

    • Operate walking crane or hoist when unloading and storing materials as required

    • Unload, move, and store a variety of materials, parts, and products

    • Perform forklift operation safely and efficiently

    • Track material movement using scanner systems under EFI procedures

    • Follow FIFO procedures at all times

    • Obey all HALO safety traffic signs and procedures

    • Complete forklift checklists and report equipment issues

    • Participate in daily shift change communication meetings

    • Follow truck loading and unloading procedures safely

    • Discuss daily safety topics

    • Report all safety violations to management

    • Participate in TOPPAN’s Global Performance System (GPS) activities including 5Star, pillar teams, audits, and near misses

    • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality

    • Perform other duties as assigned

    • Work a full 12-hour schedule consistently

    • You have previous forklift experience

    • You have a strong “get it done” attitude and urgency to complete tasks

    • You have strong written and verbal communication skills

    • You can lift up to 75 pounds as needed

    • You work well in a fast-paced team environment

    • You can read and understand manufacturing instructions

    • You can work quickly while maintaining strong attention to detail and safety
