Material Handler

Key responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming materials and components, verify quantities and documentation, and ensure materials are properly labeled and stored.
  • Accurately transact all inventory movements in the ERP system, including receipts, transfers, issues to production, and adjustments.
  • Pick, stage, and deliver materials required for production and packaging work orders.
  • Ensure production teams have the required materials available in advance of scheduled builds to prevent delays.
  • Maintain accurate inventory locations and ensure materials are stored in designated areas.
  • Perform routine inventory cycle counts, and support full physical inventory counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor material levels and notify Supply Chain or Purchasing of low inventory or potential shortages.
  • Maintain proper material traceability and lot control in accordance with company quality procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure materials are handled, stored, and transported in a manner that prevents damage or contamination.
  • Maintain organized warehouse and material storage areas to support efficient operations.
  • Support production teams with timely delivery of materials and quick response to material requests.
  • Communicate inventory discrepancies, material shortages, or process improvement opportunities to the Supply Chain team.

What we are looking for:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse, material handling, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.
  • Experience using an ERP or inventory management system to transact and track inventory movements.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling materials, documentation, and inventory transactions.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory systems and standard office software.
  • Ability to understand and follow work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with production, quality, and supply chain teams.
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, or similar) is preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move materials and stand or walk for extended periods as required in a warehouse or production environment.
