Service Wire Company, a premier supplier of industrial and utility wire and cable, is currently seeking a 2nd shift Material Handler/High Reach Operator in Culloden, WV. Position Summary:
The Material Handler/High Reach Operator is responsible for supporting operations by efficiently receiving, transporting, and organizing materials throughout the facility. This role ensures accurate inventory management, safe material handling, and the timely preparation of orders for shipment. Operating forklifts—including high reach trucks—is essential, along with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with company standards and safety protocols.
 
 

Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Receive and unload materials
  • Palletize and prepare orders for shipment on occasion
  • Work to maintain inventory stock and an organized warehouse
  • Transport wire and materials throughout facility on a forklift
  • Maintain safety standards and organized work environment

Knowledge/Skills/Requirements:

  • Forklift operation proficiency, high reach preferred
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and respond to general instructions and directions
  • Ability to stand and move about facility for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.  Assistance provided as needed.
  • High school diploma/GED (General Equivalency Diploma) or one year related industrial experience or equivalent training 

Position Requirements

  • Personal protective equipment is required
  • Continuous participation in company safety training
  • Company forklift operation and certification

Physical Demands/Work Environment

  • Work environment is comparable to outdoor temperatures
  • Regularly stands, bends, and reaches for extended periods
  • Regularly moves about the facility
  • Regularly lifts and moves materials up to 50 pounds
  • Occasionally required to move up to 100 pounds by pushing, pulling, or sliding material. Assistance provided as needed.
  • Visual inspection of material quality required.
  • Must be able to work in hot and cold environments without climate-control
  • In-person attendance is an essential function of the job

Shift Schedule and Information

  • Must be available to work 2:30pm - 11pm.
  • Earn up to $20 per hour in this position!
