Job Title: Material Coordinator C

Location: Pascagoula, Mississippi

General Function

The Material Coordinator C supports Material Control operations by tracking and coordinating the flow of materials necessary for shipyard projects. This role requires a basic knowledge of shipbuilding terminology to determine material requirements and to maintain documentation for material movement and storage.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Material Control with the tracking and management of all warehouse inventory.
  • Kit materials based on spreadsheets or generated lists from Central Planning.
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel to check material availability or identify back-ordered items.
  • Arrange for the transportation of available materials to job sites.
  • Follow up on back-ordered materials to ensure timely availability.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork for material receipt, storage, and movement.

DESIRED Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Familiarity with shipyard terminology.
  • Competency with spreadsheets and inventory management systems.
  • Basic knowledge and familiarity with the bill of materials shipbuilding and terminology.

REQUIRED Experience & Training

  • 1-2 years prior shipbuilding experience is required.
  • 1-2 years experience working in a warehouse or materials control environment.
