Job Posting: Material Coordinator A
Location: Pascagoula, MS
Job Overview:
This role is responsible for interpreting material work orders to determine material needs, coordinating with warehouse personnel, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to job sites. The ideal candidate will have prior shipbuilding experience and a strong understanding of shipyard terminology.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with warehouse personnel to verify material availability and identify back-ordered items.
Familiarity with inventory management and material logistics.
Arrange for the transportation of materials to job sites.
Follow up on back-ordered materials to prevent project delays.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for material receipt and movement.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Knowledge of shipyard terminology.
Experience in shipbuilding, warehouse, inventory management, or a related field.
REQUIRED Experience & Training:
5 years prior experience in shipbuilding or a related craft that involves material work order interpretation. Familiarity with inventory management and material logistics.
2 years forklift experience is required for this position.
