This role is responsible for conducting various materials and inventory control functions in support of the company's production and customer requirements. Duties include receiving, transacting material into stock, proper warehousing of materials, and serving as a back-up to shipping. The position also involves cross-functional coordination between Production, ADL, Materials Management, and Planning Groups to enhance and develop material control and inventory management procedures and practices. Responsibilities

  • Accurately receive all materials (Inventory, MRO) in a timely manner per the established guidelines.
  • Ensure proper inventory storage and accuracy through effective controlling of receipts and issuances.
  • Properly bag, tag, and label inventory, and practice FIFO stock rotation to ensure GMP compliance at all times.
  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventories as required to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Assist in the review and resolution of accounts payable/receivable invoice discrepancies to ensure timely resolution.
  • Evaluate and propose enhancements to current materials handling, storage, and flow processes to ensure timely availability to the production floor in a GMP compliant manner.
  • Assist the Production Manager and Materials group in developing enhanced and improved material control procedures and production processes.
  • Provide back-up support for shipping as needed.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years' experience in receiving/stockroom.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles and processes.
  • Familiarity with ISO Standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Proficiency in various MS Office applications.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Epicor ERP or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor own work to ensure quality, accuracy, and thoroughness.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to self-motivate and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated English reading skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Comfortable with change.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and reliability.
  • Self-starter attitude with ability to identify improvement opportunities.
