Leidos is seeking an energetic, motivated self-starter for a Material Control Technician position, assisting in the development of a variety of naval training and simulation systems such as CIAT – Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer.
You will be responsible for the receipt of new material; managing the movement of material from receipt to production; movement of material between Leidos and government facilities (including truck rental and driving); shipping of finished goods to trainer sites; and the movement of obsolete equipment back from trainer sites. You will also be responsible for statusing material in the inventory control system and overseeing warehouse operations, building computer equipment racks and cabinets, and cabling computer networks. You will also occasionally travel to and assist with the installation of trainer equipment at government trainer sites.
Required Education
High school diploma
Required Experience
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
3+ years of related work experience to include, but not be limited to:
Experience with material receiving, inventory tracking, and warehouse operations.
Experience coordinating shipping, receiving, and movement of equipment and materials.
Experience using inventory control or property management systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Experience assembling computer equipment racks/cabinets and installing network cabling.
Ability to travel and support equipment installations at customer or government sites.
Valid driver's license and ability to operate rental trucks for material transport.
Desired Experience
Experience with Atlassian Products, such as JIRA and Confluence.
Familiarity with property management procedures and systems.
