Description: Baker Manufacturing Company Job Description Job Title: Master Scheduler/Planner Department: Supply Chain Reports To: Supply Chain Director FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt Position Summary The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules to support customer demand, inventory objectives, and operational efficiency across Baker Manufacturing's manufacturing and foundry operations. This position works cross-functionally to develop and maintain the SIOP process. Baker Manufacturing is currently transitioning from many traditional planning methods to more technology-driven and data-based processes. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working within established manufacturing practices while embracing new systems, technology, and continuous improvement initiatives, including the development of a new SIOP process. This role will help bridge the gap between historical processes and future operational improvements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Manage forecasts and planning requirements based on historical sales, inventory levels, and customer demand. · Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and maximize operational efficiency. · Coordinate schedules and priorities with production supervisors, foundry leadership, customer service, sales, purchasing, and management. · Monitor production progress, inventory levels, material availability, and capacity constraints, making schedule adjustments as needed. · Communicate order status, production priorities, delays, and potential risks to appropriate stakeholders. · Organize and support annual physical inventory activities and manage inventory adjustments. · Analyze inventory trends and recommend changes to stocking levels, reorder points, and planning strategies. · Review material requirements and collaborate with Purchasing to ensure timely availability of components and raw materials. · Prepare reports identifying production, inventory, or material issues that could impact customer shipments. · Support the implementation of improved planning tools, reporting systems, and technology-driven processes. · Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on efficiency, accuracy, inventory management, and customer service. Other Duties as Assigned Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field preferred, or equivalent years of work experience. · Three to five years of production planning, scheduling, inventory management, or manufacturing experience. · Experience in a manufacturing environment required; foundry experience is a plus. · Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, preferably EPICOR and Microsoft Excel. · Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. · Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across departments and all levels of the organization. · Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support organizational growth and modernization efforts. Physical Demands and Work Environment This position primarily works in an office environment but regularly interacts with manufacturing and foundry operations. The employee may be exposed to manufacturing conditions including moving equipment, noise, heat, dust, and other industrial environments. Appropriate PPE must be worn when required. Competency and Performance Performance will be evaluated through established goals, production planning accuracy, inventory management, communication effectiveness, and overall contribution to operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
