Position Overview

As a Master’s Clinician specializing in Substance Use Disorder, you will deliver person-centered clinical services to individuals and families navigating addiction and mental health challenges. This role combines therapy, care coordination, and community engagement to support recovery and long-term wellbeing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop individualized, person-centered treatment plans, including family involvement when appropriate
  • Provide individual and family therapy as well as case management support
  • Coordinate care with families and external stakeholders such as schools, probation, medical providers, and community partners
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, including service plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
  • Monitor treatment quality and assess effectiveness in achieving client goals
  • Conduct community outreach, networking, and marketing to build referral sources and partnerships
  • Represent Samaritas’ mission and values with professionalism and integrity
  • Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and organizational trainings
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements

Professional Growth

  • Stay current with licensing and accreditation standards
  • Participate in ongoing training, conferences, and peer supervision opportunities
  • Continuously build clinical expertise and enhance professional skills

Education and Licensure

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Fully licensed clinicians preferred; limited license candidates will be considered

Experience

  • Minimum one year of SUD counseling experience preferred
  • Two years of clinical experience working with substance use populations preferred
  • Experience working in a team-based or interdisciplinary environment preferred
  • Familiarity with SUD documentation standards preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Proof of automobile insurance
