Position Title Marketing Technology Specialist Job Duties

Join our team as a Marketing Technology Strategist and become the digital architect behind Butler's brand and growth! This position is a member of the College Relations & Marketing staff and ultimately reports to the Assistant Director of College Relations & Marketing. This position combines marketing strategy with technical skills to manage and optimize Butler's marketing technology stack.

Key responsibilities include supporting the implementation and management of marketing automation platforms, assisting with data analysis, and collaborating with Butler's Information Services team to ensure marketing tools align with enrollment objectives.

Qualifications

Required knowledge and skills

Technical skills: Proficiency in marketing automation platforms (e.g., Act-On, HubSpot, Marketo, Zapier), data analysis and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and CRM systems. Familiarity with APIs and data layering is also beneficial.

Analytical skills: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate data into marketing strategies.

Strategic thinking: Understanding of digital marketing principles and the ability to develop strategies that support business goals.

Communication and collaboration: Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between marketing and IS teams, and work effectively with cross-functional groups.

Required experience

A. Two to three years minimum relevant experience, ideally in a higher education setting.

B. Experience using MS Office 365, content management systems, and digital archiving.

Required educational background

A. Associate degree in digital media, web development, software development, mass comm, or related field is required.

B. Bachelor's degree preferred.
