Marketing Strategist Gogebic Community College seeks candidates for a full -time Marketing Strategist. This position reports to the Director of Admissions, Marketing and Community Relations. The starting salary for this position is $54,017 (non-affiliated scale Step 5/Initial Step) The Marketing Strategist performs activities in support of the college's public information, marketing and communications functions. The incumbent must be skilled in graphic design, social media, digital, and print marketing. A flexible remote work schedule is an option. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist with the implementation of marketing and advertising campaigns by analyzing enrollment forecasts; assist with the preparation of marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives. • Design college materials such as brochures, flyers, newspaper ads, digital ads and internal digital signs and monitors ensuring alignment with the colleges branding. Research and target appropriate audiences for each campaign, delivering tailored messaging that resonates with prospective students and other key groups. Manage GCC's social media presence on popular social media sites, regularly posting relevant content and interacting with followers. • Manage the college's CMS from a marketing perspective, ensuring timely and relevant updates to high -priority pages such as the homepage. Collaborate with faculty and staff to monitor and maintain fresh, current content on department and program webpages, w ith a focus on engaging prospective students. • Collaborate closely with the admissions team to manage a comprehensive student engagement program. Utilize a variety of channels, including mail, email, phone, and the student portal, to connect with prospective students. Develop targeted strategies to foster meaningful interactions, ensuring consistent follow -up and personalized communication throughout the recruitment process. • Maintain a student ambassador program (SAMI), including recruiting, securing funding, and managing up to 4 students/semester. • Collaborate and share responsibility with the Athletic Director for u pdate s and maintenance of the college's athlet ic website and social media content/posting . • Create logos for apparel and swag , create and update game day program template . • Work with the Foundation to set up and send out email campaigns, compile annual reports, and create annual fund drive mailer. • Assist with the organization of student recruitment and retention programs. • Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Develop marketing strategies to r ecruit prospective students. • Travel, including some overnight travel. • Develop, implement, and manage targeted digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including Google AdWords, social media channels, and display ads, ensuring alignment with college branding and messaging. Optimize website content for search engines to improve visibility and engagement. Regularly analyze digital marketing metrics, such as click -through rates, conversion rates, and user engagement, to refine strategies and ensure continuous improvement. • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing. • Manage projects independently. • Provide quality customer service. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree. • Fluent in the use of technology, including graphic design, social media, and web content to conduct the job duties. • Valid Driver's License.
