Kadant Johnson is seeking a marketing professional for a Marketing Manager position to support organizational growth initiatives. The Marketing Manager will have the responsibility to plan and execute product and market strategies, programs, and activities including evaluating new markets, researching insights for new product development, establishing our brand positioning, creating marketing content, managing marketing campaigns, and pricing for value.
Through an understanding of customer needs, marketplace competition, and our value proposition, this position will work closely with sales, applications, new product development, and engineering to help lead and deliver programs to maintain and grow the current customer base, as well as drive new business growth from prospective customers. Additional responsibilities include authoring and managing content for key media channels and supporting the content development of Kadant Johnson’s sister companies.
The Marketing Manager will manage the Company’s pricing program to drive sustainable profitability. This includes day-to-day pricing support, capital project guidelines, and annual price adjustments. The preferred candidate for this role must be comfortable with developing pricing strategies in collaboration with the sales team and business leadership. They must be proficient at analyzing large sets of data and applying intelligent pricing strategies across thousands of components.
The work environment requires an energetic and results-oriented individual. This position is responsible for managing and developing the marketing team and reports through the Vice President of Commercial Operations.
The preferred candidate for this role will have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business administration, or related field. A minimum of five years of experience marketing at a manager level and 10 years of overall professional experience is required. Experience in marketing, pricing, economics, or product management in an industrial environment is preferred.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, be performance driven, and can work cross-functionally as a team member. The ideal candidate will also be analytical and a strategic thinker, have a strong commercial and mechanical aptitude, and possess strong business acumen with the ability to provide consultative and diplomatic guidance and support to others. Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail as well as exceptional interpersonal, listening and verbal communication skills are essential to the success of this position. Strong grammatical and editing skills are a must.
