EA was founded in 1889 to offer educational, social, and cultural services to Jewish immigrants arriving to the Lower East Side. Today, EA partners with diverse communities throughout Lower Manhattan. Across our network of community centers, we empower people of all backgrounds to flourish, recognizing the intrinsic value within each individual and the importance of building community.We are seeking a creative, mission‑driven Marketing Manager to elevate brand awareness and promote our programs through compelling storytelling, communications, and design. This is a highly collaborative, hands‑on role for someone who is excited to create and manage content across a wide range of programs and for a variety of different audiences. The Marketing Manager will play a key role in shaping MCC's brand identity across a variety of digital and print channels—through thoughtful messaging, strong visuals, compelling newsletters and audience‑centered campaigns. The ideal candidate is both creative and data‑informed. Enjoys developing engaging content and using performance insights to continuously improve their work. This person will be comfortable taking ownership of projects from start to finish while collaborating effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.Please note that applications will not be considered unless they include a cover letter.RESPONSIBILITIESContent and CommunicationsCreate and execute engaging multi‑channel marketing campaigns across a range of platforms including social media, web, email, and print to promote MCC's programs, including early childhood, fitness, art classes, older adult programming, etc.Draft and edit engaging marketing content for promotional materials (such as newsletters, emails, website copy, social media, brochures) that reflect MCC's mission and resonate with its audiencesManage and maintain a consistent brand voice and digital identity across all MCC platformsUpdate and manage website content (WordPress) including program and event pagesWork with Educational Alliance's graphic designer to develop visual assets for MCC, such as flyers, social graphics, and email templates, supporting the creation of design materials as neededTrack and analyze campaign performance (engagement, conversions, reach) and use insights to optimize content, improve targeting, and inform future campaignsUse audience insights and performance data to recommend improvements to messaging, content strategy, and campaign approachPartner with MCC leadership and EA's Director of Communications to help refine marketing strategies based on program goals, campaign performance, and organizational prioritiesCultivate excellent relationships with community partners, external stakeholders, and fellow MCC staff to ensure successful execution of marketing campaigns for MCC programs and eventsSupport Educational Alliance's Director of Communications on broader communications efforts to increase press coverage and public awareness of MCCProject Management and CoordinationCoordinate production of MCC print and digital collateral, working with external vendors as neededManage marketing calendars, timelines, and deliverables across multiple programsMaintain organized marketing assets, templates, and brand resources in collaboration with Educational Alliance's graphic designerEnsure timely promotion of MCC programs and events across all relevant channelsOversee marketing budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost‑effective executionGuide program teams in best practices for marketing, including social media, newsletters, and collateral developmentSupervise interns and/or consultants when applicableCoordinate with Educational Alliance and Communications/Marketing colleagues to ensure collaboration across the broader organizationQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience). required, Master's Degree is a plus.3-5 years of marketing experience required, preferably in the nonprofit sectorExperience executing successful multi‑channel marketing campaigns requiredStrong storytelling and content creation skills across digital platforms, with the ability to translate ideas into clear, visually engaging marketing materialsA strong visual sensibility and attention to detail in both design and messagingExcellent writing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and authentically to different audiencesFamiliarity with evolving digital marketing trends, including social media AI tools, and paid mediaStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience with design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative SuiteExperience with content creation and project management tools such as Sprout Social and AsanaBasic photography, video editing, and/or motion graphics experienceComfort working with marketing data and metrics to improve campaign performances (advanced analytics expertise not required)Data‑driven mindset with experience using data and audience insights to inform marketing decisionsDemonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and build strong relationships in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.Experience working in a nonprofit or community‑based organizationInterest in community engagement, storytelling, or building partnershipsFamiliarity with web design and SEOBENEFITSGenerous PTO PolicyPension Plan403(b) Retirement PlansFree Gym Membership to our MCC Fitness & 14th St Y GymDiscounts to programs at Educational AllianceTuition ReimbursementEmployee Referral RewardLimitations and DisclaimerThe above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed;
