Marketing Director

Lead the marketing that fuels a movement in the trades

At Western Welding Academy, we prepare people for real careers in a trade that changes lives. As our Marketing Director, you own the strategy that puts our mission in front of the next generation of skilled welders, from the first ad they see to the day they apply. This is a builder's seat. You'll lead the brand, the campaigns, the content, and the team behind all of it. If you're a data-driven marketer who wants your work to mean something, this is the job.

What you'll do

• Own the marketing strategy. Build and run a plan that grows our reach, drives student applications, and lowers our cost to acquire each new student. We set ambitious targets here, and you'll own hitting them.
• Lead the brand. Keep our brand strong, consistent, and clear across every channel, and protect its reputation as we grow.
• Run the campaigns. Plan and execute integrated campaigns across digital, social, email, events, and more. Manage the budget and optimize for ROI.
• Drive digital. Oversee SEO, SEM, paid ads, email, and content marketing, and keep us current as the tools and platforms change.
• Win on social. Guide engaging campaigns and high-quality video and photo content across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Snapchat.
• Lead the team. Mentor a group of marketing professionals, set clear goals, and manage outside vendors and agencies.
• Let the data lead. Track the numbers, run market research, and report clear results and recommendations to leadership.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (video, art, photography, sales, or graphic design preferred)
• 5+ years in marketing, with at least 3 years leading a team
• A proven track record of building and executing marketing strategies that deliver
• Strong skills in digital marketing, social media, and content creation
• A natural eye for video and photography, with hands-on skills to match
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and comfort managing several projects at once
• Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce
• A plus: experience with Shopify, tools like Aircall, ManyChat, or Klaviyo, and a background in psychology or consumer behavior
