General Description

The Marketing Designer is responsible for developing and executing creative, digital, and print marketing initiatives that support enrollment growth, revenue goals, and brand awareness for NCE. This position combines graphic design, marketing communications, website management, email marketing, content development, and digital systems management. The Marketing Designer works collaboratively with internal teams, program staff, vendors, and community partners to create effective, audience-focused communications across multiple channels. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who can manage projects independently, develop engaging marketing materials, and use both creative and analytical skills to improve outreach and engagement.

Essential Job Duties (not limited to)

  • Email Marketing & Design: Manage the creation, design, and deployment of targeted email marketing campaigns through Constant Contact. Develop email content, graphics, and messaging strategies that support enrollment goals while monitoring performance metrics and audience engagement.
  • Print Marketing & Design: Lead the design and production of print materials, including catalogs, brochures, flyers, postcards, signage, and other promotional materials. Manage print project timelines, coordinate with vendors, ensure materials align with NCE's brand standards.
  • Website Management: Manage and update the NCE website through WordPress, including homepage features, landing pages, program content, and promotional updates. Support website improvements related to usability, search functionality, SEO, accessibility, and overall customer experience.
  • Social Media Marketing & Design: Create and manage social media content that promotes programs, strengthens brand awareness, and engages community audiences. Develop graphics, written content, photography, and video content as needed to support digital campaigns.
  • Strategy & Analytics: Develop and evaluate multi-channel marketing strategies that support enrollment, revenue goals, and community engagement. Use marketing data, enrollment trends, and campaign performance metrics to make informed recommendations and improve outreach efforts.
  • Project Management & Collaboration: Manage multiple marketing projects and deadlines while collaborating with program staff, vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders. Coordinate content collection, approvals, production schedules, and campaign launches across various channels.
  • Digital Systems & Content Management: Maintain accurate program and marketing content across digital platforms, including website content management systems, registration systems, email platforms, and internal marketing resources. Demonstrate the ability to learn new technologies, troubleshoot digital workflows, and improve processes through thoughtful problem-solving and organization.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a team player who is innovative, creative, organized, and adaptable, with experience developing marketing materials and communications across digital and print platforms. The position requires strong writing, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.

This position requires:

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Advertising, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in marketing, graphic design, communications, or a related field. Advanced education can supplement professional experience.
  • Experience developing and executing marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design, digital communications, email marketing, and print materials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies, platforms, and digital workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently research, troubleshoot, and improve processes.
  • Commitment to supporting diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in communications and community engagement.

Skills & Software Experience

  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)
  • WordPress or similar content management systems
  • Constant Contact or similar email marketing platforms
  • Google Workspace
  • Project management tools (Asana or similar)
  • Experience with graphic design principles, branding, typography, and layout
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies, analytics, and performance tracking
  • Experience managing content across websites, email platforms, and social media channels
  • Familiarity with customer databases, registration systems, or other data management platforms preferred
  • Basic knowledge of SEO, website functionality, HTML/CSS, or digital integrations preferred
  • Experience creating photo and video content using mobile devices for digital marketing and social media preferred
