POSITION OVERVIEW

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

Cornerstone seeks a full-time, team-oriented individual to join our Operations team in our Washington, D.C. office to assist with a wide range of tasks related to Marketing & Business Development activities for our Business Advisory Services and State Government Relations business units.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides day-to-day marketing, business development, operational and administrative support for the Business Advisory Services (BAS) business unit across all BAS practice areas, including PAC, sustainability, association and coalition management, DEIA, joint ventures and other advisory services;

  • Assists with drafting proposals, scopes of work, pitch decks, presentations and other client-facing materials, and conducts client, market and industry research to support pitches, events and business development planning;

  • Helps update and maintain BAS marketing materials, including one pagers, case studies, capability documents, placemats and branded templates, and helps organize shared files, templates, tracking documents and reusable resources;

  • Coordinates internal and external meetings related to BAS business development opportunities, including scheduling, calendar invites, note taking and tracking follow-up items;

  • Works with BAS client service professionals and internal teams-marketing, communications, compliance, finance and operations-to support timely completion of deliverables and effective coordination across teams;

  • Helps draft internal updates to support collaboration and information sharing within the broader operations and marketing teams;

  • Supports marketing efforts by creating e-newsletters, invitations, advertisements and announcements using tools like Mailchimp and Canva, in coordination with marketing and communications colleagues;

  • Helps create, update and post content for BAS related websites and social media channels;

  • Assists with planning and execution of BAS events, webinars, panels and other client facing programs, including logistics, registration tracking, speaker coordination, promotional support, run of show materials and post event follow up;

  • Supports BAS onboarding materials and overviews for new team members;

  • Supports the State Marketing Team in providing day-to-day marketing, business development, operational and administrative support to the State Government Relations (SGR) business units across all state offices; and

  • Creates firm advertisements for Cornerstone hosted and sponsored events.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate for this position has a bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of marketing related work experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with Salesforce, Canva, and Mailchimp.

BENEFITS

Base salary for this position shall be based on experience and level of education and range from $65,000 to $80,000. Employees are eligible for annual performance-based bonuses as well as full coverage of medical, dental, vision, life and long-term disability insurance premiums. In addition, employees are eligible to receive a 401(k)-employer match and shares in the firm's employee stock ownership plan, upon entry into the plan. Employees are eligible for paid time off and additional fringe benefits to perform their job duties (parking, cell phone coverage, etc.).
