Primary Function:

The Marketing Coordinator supports Dashiell’s marketing and communications function by assisting with the development and execution of marketing campaigns, content, and branded materials across digital and print channels. This entry-level role provides hands-on exposure to brand management, internal and external communications, event coordination, and marketing collateral production within an EPC and high-voltage electrical infrastructure environment. The position will be based in our Houston, TX office located at 12301 Kurland Drive, Suite 400, Houston, TX 77034 and will report to Dashiell’s VP of Human Resources (temporary reporting assignment pending appointment of a permanent Marketing leader).

Duties & Responsibilities

Employee may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions:

  • Assist in the development, scheduling, and publishing of content across the company website, social media platforms, and internal communication channels.
  • Support the design and production of marketing collateral, including brochures, proposal graphics, trade show materials, and presentation templates.
  • Coordinate logistics for company events, trade shows, sponsorships, and internal employee engagement activities.
  • Maintain brand consistency across documents, templates, and communications in accordance with Dashiell brand standards.
  • Assist with photography, videography, and content gathering at project sites and company events.
  • Support internal communications efforts, including newsletters, announcements, and employee recognition initiatives.
  • Track and report on marketing campaign performance metrics using analytics and reporting tools.
  • Maintain and organize the marketing asset library, including photos, templates, and brand files.
  • Assist with vendor coordination for printing, promotional items, and event materials.
  • Perform special projects and complete other duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field is required; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of degree (4 years of relevant marketing or communications experience).

  • Minimum of 1 year of marketing, communications, or related internship/professional experience.
  • No certifications required; HubSpot, Google Analytics, or Adobe Creative Cloud certifications are a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to grammar, tone, and brand voice.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) or Canva for content and collateral design.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content scheduling tools.
  • Exposure to CRM or marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Constant Contact) preferred.
  • Basic understanding of AP style and brand messaging guidelines.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented team player who can work cross-functionally with Sales, HR, and Operations.
  • Driving is not a routine job requirement; occasional local travel for events or site visits may be required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and operating office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to occasionally stand and walk within an office environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
