Marketing Coordinator
Job Description
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Marketing Manager and VP of Sales & Marketing
Summary: This individual will be responsible for supporting and executing the strategy for the Carolina Sales and Marketing Department through the creation of visual content, social media management, and providing marketing support to the VP of Sales and Marketing, Marketing Manager, and Regional Marketing Team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Visit Shea Carolina communities to capture content for social posts, blogs, emails, and website
- Attend division/community events to capture video and photography (weekends and evenings occasionally)
- Utilize video and photo editing software to create content to be utilized on social media, website, and for any other promotional activities
- Utilize a content scheduling platform to automate social postings
- Execute graphic design for the creation of marketing collateral including, but not limited to, digital and print assets, sales office collateral, emails, website, etc.
- Assist in scheduling photography and videography services for the Division.
- Maintain marketing asset databases by uploading and organizing files for all marketing campaigns, resources, and key assets on SharePoint and within the corporate Digital Asset Manager (DAM).
- Attend all marketing team meetings to keep abreast of current information and report on specific projects that Marketing Coordinator may be working on.
- Coordinate with Community Representatives, Field Managers, Warranty Specialists, etc. to film content on site
- Manage social media platforms by maintaining timely response to tags, shares, mentions, and incoming messages
- Monitor social media trends and competitor pages to ensure Shea Homes Carolina remains competitive on social platforms
- Leverage social media to help foster relationships with local businesses and realtors in efforts to generate community engagement and local partnerships
- Meaningful participation in social media strategy conversations within the marketing department
- Develop strong knowledge base of Shea products and unique features to highlight key features in content
Knowledge/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or art design. Or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Must have strong Graphic Design experience (please provide portfolio).
- 2 years of Marketing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the home building and real estate industries a plus.

- Demonstrated high level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other editing software application
- Experience and high competency with graphic design
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Understanding of basic marketing principles
- Must possess a strong internal/external customer service orientation and commitment
- Excellent time management, organizational and follow-up skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and assignments
- Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards
