Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment to join our team as a Buying Assistant. This role involves supporting strategic merchandising priorities and in-season business needs to serve our retail operations effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in footwear or apparel buying and/or merchandising, product creation and/or retail in a vertical, multi-brand or digital environment
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
• Strong affinity for current market trends and how our apparel can continue to be a style leader in the marketplace
• Understanding of common retail and/or digital profit-based metrics such as sell-through, turn, ASP, UPT, and others
• Ability to contribute to and drive strategy into action
• Ability to travel up to 20%
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry
• Applicants must be LOCAL and able to work directly for Artech on W2.
• Advanced background in Excel
• Basic client software knowledge
• Previous experience in a similar role

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Translate strategic intent into action against future and current in-season assortments
• Coordinate between genders, brands, and how individual products or collections impact each other
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure actions are driving consumer demand and align with the overarching strategy
• Participate in seasonal assortment and buy reviews each quarter, as well as in-season trading to influence actions and optimize growth
