We're seeking a Marketing Associate to join our Development and Community Relations team.

As the Marketing Associate, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance awareness, engage our target audience, and drive our fundraising efforts. This role requires a creative thinker with strong communication skills and a deep understanding of digital marketing, all aimed at making a positive community impact.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9AM - 5PM (40hrs)

Payrate: $27.00 per hour

Essential Functions

1. Create and manage engaging content across various platforms (social media, websites, email campaigns, and print materials).

2. Design visually compelling marketing and communications materials, including annual appeals, event collateral, flyers, brochures,

digital graphics, and presentations.

3. Develop engaging short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) from concept through editing and posting

4. Build audience segmentation strategies for targeted outreach and engagement

5. Manage paid social and digital boosting campaigns to increase reach and conversions

6. Create and optimize re-targeting audience campaigns/Use tracking tools (pixels, conversion tracking) to measure impact and ROI

7. Monitor and adjust campaign performance (budget, targeting, creative) in real time

8. Conduct research to identify target audiences, trends, and opportunities for growth; analyze data to inform strategies.

9. Track and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, providing data-driven recommendations for improvements.

10. Oversee the organization’s website, ensuring content is current, visually appealing, and optimized for search engines.

11. Support the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and events to foster donor engagement and support.

12. Build relationships with media outlets and community partners to maximize exposure.

13. Represent the Development & Community Relations department at external community events and internal events.

14. Other duties as assigned by department leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in marketing, preferably within the non-profit sector.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a knack for creating compelling content.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management and email marketing.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Analytical mindset capable of interpreting data to inform decision-making.
  • Creative thinker with an eye for design and branding.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with fundraising principles and experience coordinating campaigns is a plus.
  • Strong graphic design skills with experience creating print and digital marketing materials (Adobe Creative Suite and Canva required)

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position requires speaking and hearing, as well as occasional kneeling, sitting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and climbing. You will use your hands for grasping, holding, typing, and writing. Lifting up to twenty-five pounds and climbing stairs may also be necessary.
