Position Overview
The Marketing & Brand Specialist supports product-focused marketing initiatives within the general aviation industry by managing product content, campaigns, and digital execution. This role ensures accurate, compelling, and consistent messaging across all customer touchpoints while helping strengthen the McFarlane Alaska brand and its connection to the aviation community.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in content development, digital marketing, and working with technical or product-driven environments.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Product Content & Catalog Management
- Manage product content across websites, e-commerce platforms, and digital catalogs
- Coordinate product updates, revisions, and promotions across marketing channels
- Maintain product data and digital assets within PIM/DAM and CMS platforms
- Ensure consistency, quality, and accuracy of product information
Content Creation & Campaign Support
- Write and edit product descriptions, landing pages, and marketing collateral
- Create and manage content for social media, including product highlights and educational posts
- Support development and execution of email marketing campaigns
- Maintain content calendars for email and social platforms
- Coordinate external partners (photographers, videographers, designers) as needed
Digital & Social Execution
- Schedule and publish social media content across platforms
- Monitor engagement and assist with community management
- Support trade show promotion, influencer outreach, and event marketing initiatives
Collaboration & Reporting
- Partner with sales, customer service, and operations teams to align messaging and promotions
- Support distributor marketing programs and partner communications
- Track campaign and content performance, providing insights and recommendations
Skills & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in product marketing, digital marketing, content marketing, or e-commerce
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail
- Experience managing product catalogs, structured content, and digital assets
- Familiarity with CMS platforms, email marketing tools, and social scheduling tools
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred:
- Interest in aviation, technical products, or manufacturing environments
- Background in general aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, or distribution
- Familiarity with FAA-PMA parts, STCs, or aircraft components
- Experience supporting trade shows or industry events
- Basic knowledge of SEO and digital merchandising
