Your opportunity

The Marketing Insights, Planning, and Analytics group (IPA) supports multiple marketing teams at Schwab through data driven insights and recommendations. Our mission is to help marketing better understand the needs and behaviors of our prospects and clients through statistical analysis and modeling, reporting and analytics, and data management.

This role is part of the Marketing Effectiveness team, a horizontal function supporting multiple teams within the marketing organization. The team's core objective is to substantively drive business growth and deepen client relationships by transforming how Schwab uses analytics & big data. We do this by delivering insightful analyses and by uncovering/introducing new analytic and data capabilities. We are passionate, client-centric, data-driven analysts and business leaders who seek to deliver meaningful revenue-generating and cost-saving results.

The Marketing Analyst will bring intellectual curiosity, analytical prowess and exceptional collaborative and communications skills to drive greater effectiveness and efficiency from our marketing initiatives. Candidate should be able to clearly communicate business and technical concepts to a wide audience so that they are well understood and prioritized. We place great emphasis on individual team members' ability to translate data needs and technical context in a way that tells a clear story and guides senior leadership to actionable decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Championanalyticalbest practices in designing Marketing effortswith clear, convincing business rationale that is relevant to partners from a wide range of functions. Focus ona test and learn approach to be able to apply learnings to optimize future initiatives.

  • Scope analytics projects including identifying resources and assets needed, determining analysis approach, and developing and leading execution plans.

  • Pro-actively analyze data to uncover insights that increase business value and impact.

  • Leverage business,industry,and marketing knowledge to enhance insights around various programs.

  • Take responsibility for driving multiple projects simultaneously while meeting partner expectations and deadlines.

  • Work independently or collaboratively throughout the complete analytics project lifecycle including data extraction/preparation, analysis, and documentation of results.

  • Implement frameworks/methodologies to streamline processes, increase efficiency, continuous improvement, and foster collaboration within the team.

  • Design and build out new reports and dashboards to measure campaign performance, with experience leveraging built in platform tools such as Tableau.

  • Partner with technical and non-technical resources across the business to leverage their support and integrate our efforts.

  • Work with external technology and analytics teams to leverage their support for marketing analytic projects and initiatives including managing multiple front door processes and requests.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research,Engineeringor similar quantitative field.

  • SQL or SAS (or equivalent) programming/data processing experience.

  • Experience with testing concepts and implementation including A/B, test and control, and experimental design.

  • Ability to work with large transactional databases across multiple platforms(Google Cloud Data Warehousea plus).

  • Experience building and maintaining reports and dashboards (Tableau preferred).

  • Understand data management principles, including data governance and ETL processes.

  • 3 plus years of related work experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+years experiencein a marketing analytics rolepreferred

  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated ability to solve problems.? Ability to "tell a story" withdata.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a highly collaborative environment.

  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to successfully build long-term relationships with colleagues and businesspartners.

  • Understanding of how analytics supports a large organization including being able to successfully articulate the linkage between business decisions, business objectives, and analytical approaches & findings.

  • Financial services experience a plus
